First it was cell phones in cars, then trans fats. Now, a new plan is on the table to ban gadget use while crossing city streets.
We all seem to have one — an iPod, a BlackBerry, a cell phone — taking up more and more of our time, but can they make us too distracted to walk safely? Some people think so.
If you use them in the crosswalk, your favorite electronic devices could be in the crosshairs.
Legislation will be introduced in Albany on Wednesday to lay a $100 fine on pedestrians succumbing to what State Sen. Carl Kruger calls iPod oblivion..

The Chinese RAmos recently unveilds their third Q series member - RAmos Q13. As other Q series member, the new Q13 has a slim design and it is the slimmest at 6.5mm! The Q13 will feature a 1.5″ display with resolution at 176 x 132. According to the source, the display is made by Samsung, which is very likely from the same production line with iPod Nano 2.
At a quick glance, it is probably marked as iPod Nano cloned. Well, at least it is a lot better than those crappy clones

The iPod is a wonderful product hindered by one basic flaw – analog outputs. The digital format of its audio files are converted within the iPod, which negates any attempt to create true-to-CD audio. This means that no matter how much money an audiophile spends on iPod docking stations that boast great sound, the quality will not come close to a CD played on a high-end system.
MSB Technology’s new iLink is the world’s only iPod docking station that offers a true digital audio output. This is done by modifying the iPod to allow digital audio to be sent to the iLink and output via Toslink optical, coaxial or balanced AES/EBU format. With this output, audiophiles can transform their iPods into a high-end source and achieve sound reproduction on a par with a good CD transport. The iLink comes with an RF transmitter that allows the iPod to be moved around the listening room while still maintaining the best audio quality available.

A company called MSB Technology is coming up with iLink Docking System for the iPod. There is nothing interesting about this iLink when it is alone but when you couple it with MSB-graded iPod, you will get real digital output which analog-only iPod could not give you. The company is giving you two options, in first option you can go for the complete iLink system in which you will get an iPod upgrade and an iLink dock which fits into iPod’s dock connector that is digital audio enabled.
In the second option you will have to send your 5.5G iPod to MSB where they will upgrade it and offer you their own warranty. The first option will cost you $1995 and the second option will cost you $199.

Inspired by the iPod, a real estate developer called Omniyat Properties from Dubai is going to construct an $800 million building. They are planning to start the construction in 2007 and want to complete it by 2009. It supposedly will have 23 floors.
In my view they should not get too attracted to the product and attached to the project as a new generation building with video playback furniture and touch-screen walls might come in 2010.

Till now not a single case has been reported where an iPod has been returned with porn on it. But now one person returned a Zune loaded with porn to Wal-Mart.
They kept the Zune back on the shelf without checking it. And apart from that the manager of the store had the courage to blame Microsoft for pre-installing the Zune with a porn video.

Save your Zune’s battery life by this easy and cheap method. Turn off your Zune by holding the back button and the directional pad at the same time if you are not going to use the Zune for a few hours. By doing so, the Zune will power down into hibernation mode after three seconds.
If you do this you cannot start the player from where you let off and also you will get to see the Zune startup logo again. But the advantage here is you can save some battery life.
